There are no words.
There are so many songs.
I will honour you in mashup style.
Oh no. Not me. We never lost control.
I just have something in my eye.

Mashup on horseback
Every time I hear this song:
I seem to think I'm singing along:
and then I wish I was actually on horseback, riding away
I seem to think I'm singing along:
and then I wish I was actually on horseback, riding away

Songs I have had stuck in my head this week
"Now Zeus was a womaniser,
Always on the make.
But Hera usually punished those that Zeus was want to take.
When you sleep
Sleep sleep
Sleep sleep
Where do your fingers
go?"
"I met a little girl in Knoxville
A town we all know well...
...go down go down to Knoxville girl
You will never be my bride"
"There is nothing like a Crown
For pickin' things up and puttin' em down"

We've been singing "Pop-u-lar" with our hands under our chins in our conflict-rich workplace when hanging up the phone.
Apparently everyone can imagine a slightly different song.
Let's think of a populamashup!
Ooh!

Response to Chunky Move's "Keep Everything"
Suspense
Disturbing
No comfort
Frustration
Unsatisfying?
Creepy
Absurd
Impatience (not mine)
Divine
Freaky
Luxurious (art, numbers and unison)
Dysdiadochochorea
Recognition in your face
Familiarity in your gestures
I think he looked me in the eye, again
Something like feeling very smug. Satisfied?
Go home, alone.
Enjoy the fact it strikes a chord.
Keep everything.
It moves through my body.

What is he?Finally
No, she's a slut. This has nothing to do with the show. Or does it?

Response to 2 One Another, Sydney Dance Company
Blinker yourself to minor details* around you.
Keep your body open.
Let your mind wander.
They came together, and we moved in unison.
She left, he left, I left.
shellshocked
I know now what I need to do.
all those bodies on the stage
Today I resonate.
I act.
I must direct.
_____
*Perth audiences are not very good at the concept of being quiet whilst at the theatre. On behalf of the crowd, I wish to apologise to you, dancers, for the rude talking going on during the divine and powerful unison-in-silence opening of your show.

A response to Hot Dub Time Machine
A very fun party mix.
Somewhat gimmicky.
Crap access via tiny lifts. Ineffectual Fringeworld teeny tiny workers.
Gen Y kids being drunk dickheads. The kind who say "aw, I was just standing there and then someone glassed me in the face" and you want to tell them that maybe they should try standing there and not being a total dickhead. Plus maybe know the words to the classics and don't look alarmed when other people do.
Sweat.
Twist.
Jump.
Overall positive balance of endorphins.
Moshing whiplash in the morning.
Killing in the name of.

A response to Two Times
I used to write reviews. Today just a response, to an excellent Fringeworld show "Two Times". Buy tickets, go early, sit front and centre, learn how to feel.
-----
Nick'd & Dusty'd with The King
If there is love there can be humour
Without technique there is no whimsy
Without whimsy there is no lightness
With lightness comes the weight of emotion
If there is emotion there can be heartbreak
Without heartbreak there can be no love.
-----
Mechanic
The whole is made of many
Each are individual
The collective are unified
Unison in difference
I belong but I am also complete without the many
So much difference in the unison
Each part larger than the sum
The sum of parts much larger again
I am with you, we are you.

Television mash-up
[A post for e]
Seriously, the new Qantas ad is so silly:
Plus, why didn't they just save money and re-use the We Can Be Heroes title sequence? It totally fits the brief of the ad way better than the actual one!
Honestly, nobody listens to me.
